Free-lance ASL Interpreters at Yale University

Yale University is looking to find certified interpreters in ASL and Total Communications to work in a freelance arrangement. Yale University student numbers grow yearly and they would really like to develop a contact list of people who might enjoy working on this campus.

Staffing for classes is a must but there are also meetings, review sessions, team projects, conferences, and those last minute events.

They have two part time interpreters and would like to increase the contacts to add at least 1-3 more. In addition to classroom assignments, they have one unusual commitment - a pre-orientation program known as Foot where they will need an ASL interpreter to travel with a deaf student.

If you are interested in the class room work , please contact Judy York.

If you are interested in classroom work, please give some suggestion of how much time you may be ideally looking for and what you charge as your hourly rate. They will pay for transportation time and generally follow most if not all of the guidelines set by state and private agencies.

Judy hopes that you will find Yale pays fairly quickly. Yale University's trying the best to keep our support staff as a priority. She would appreciate hearing from you if you may be interested!
