Religion

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) provides one specific exemption from the requirements for the prohibition of discrimination in places of public accommodation - religious organizations, including places of worship.

Some places of worship such as churches have agreed to provide sign language or (ASL) interpreted services upon request. Please encourage your church or place of worship to honor your direct request for an interpreter if you wish to participate fully in the religious services and events.
