Yale Repertory Theatre (James Bundy, Artistic Director and Victoria Nolan, Managing Director) is pleased to announce Open Captioned performances as follows:

* Tartuffe - December 8, 2007, 2pm
* Evildoers - February 2, 2008, 2pm
* Woman of No Importance - April 5, 2008, 2pm
*A Sixth Play To Be Announced - May 10, 2008, 2pm

c2 (caption coalition), inc based in New York, is the official Open Captioning provider for Yale Rep and also provides Open Captioning at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, the Papermill Playhouse in New Jersey, and several theatres in and around the New York/Tri-State area.

Three easy ways to get subscriptions now and single tickets: online at www.yalerep.org, phone 203.432.1234 and in person at the Box Office | 1120 Chapel Street at York Street | weekdays 10AM-5PM.

Those interested in purchasing subscriptions or single tickets specifically for Open Captioning by phone (or via Relay at 7-1-1) should be sure to let the operator know you are interested in Open Captioning so that an appropriate seating location is selected (although our theatres will make it possible for audiences to see the Open Captioning screen from just about all locations).

Hartford Stage

This company provides ASL interpreted performances since 1980s and is popular among the Deaf community.

The first open captioned performance will be the December 17 matinee of A Christmas Carol, and open captioning will be an option at selected performances of the upcoming productions of Fences, Breakfast Lunch & Dinner, and I Am My Own Wife.

The dates for the open captioned performances:

* Our Town – Sunday, September 16, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
* Chick, The Great Osram – Sunday, October 28, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
* Zerline's Tale – Sunday, January 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
* The Bluest Eye – Sunday, March 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
* The Scene – Sunday, April 20, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
* The Milk Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore – Sunday, June 1, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Open captioning will be provided by David Chu of the renowned c2 captioning service.


 

The Bushnell Center for Performing Arts
The Bushnell provides ASL interpreted performances depending on the announcements. Please contact the Bushnell if you are interested and sign up for subscription. There was one ASL Interpreted performance for Disney's The Lion King on May 21, 2006.
